About
Welcome to Aspendos Restaurant, a gem nestled in the heart of Tübingen at Reutlinger Str. 24. Known for its authentic Turkish cuisine, Aspendos invites diners to indulge in a culinary experience that balances tradition and refinement. With a commitment to high-quality ingredients and expert preparation, it’s no wonder customers rave about their meals here.
One standout aspect of Aspendos is its dedication to presentation. Patrons like Kevin Shen have highlighted that while the prices may not be the cheapest in town, the value for the quality of food is undeniable. For around 18 euros for a main dish, diners can savor well-crafted meals that are often more flavorful and visually appealing than many cheaper alternatives found in the bustling Alstadt area.
Reviewers frequently point out must-try dishes, such as the “Sultan’s Liebling,” which elevates traditional lamb to new heights, resting beautifully atop an aubergine and walnut puree. The aromatic spices and fresh ingredients ensure that each bite offers a depth of flavor, making this meal a memorable one. Such offerings reflect Aspendos' dedication to not just satisfying, but delighting its customers.
While some feedback suggests room for improvement in certain appetizers, like the hummus, the general consensus remains that the service and main courses are admirable. Douglas Spicer, for instance, appreciated the ample portions and the thoughtfully melted mozzarella paired with the seasoned chicken.
Aspendos Restaurant embodies a welcoming atmosphere, where each visit feels special. With outstanding food and an ambiance that complements its culinary offerings, this restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a destination to experience. Don't miss the chance to explore the vibrant flavors of Turkey, right here in Tübingen.
“ Might be my favourite restaurant in Tübingen. It isn't cheap but the quality is high for the price. Presentation is surprisingly good and flavors are refined. About 18 for a main. Considering you pay 16 for some bsht pizza or pasta in Alstadt this is very reasonable. ”
“ Said it before and will say it again: great restaurant and food. ”
“ Outstanding Turkish Restaurant, great food and ambience. Had the “Sultan’s Liebling,” lamb overtop an aubergine and walnut puree. Wife had the stuffed aubergine. Definitely recommend. ”
“ I had the hummus as an appetizer and the #305 chicken with vegetables. Overall, it was good. The hummus was quite dry and the bread served with it was cold and hard as well. The #305 chicken with vegetables did not arrive in a clay pot (as advertised) but rather in a skillet. It was good, ample meat, properly seasoned, and properly cooked. The melted mozzarella on top was a nice touch. I appreciate the very good service. ”
